Regardless of our differences, every American is an America. Whether we seek pay equality or justice equality or religious equality that the law is applied equally (and blindly) is of the greatest concern to me. As Americans we already have inherent equal rights, where our system fails us is when our rights become secondary to corporate profits or other special interests. I believe that our system has failed our rights to equality. This systemic inequality manifests itself in housing and healthcare and education among other things. We must do more to implement systemic protections for classes of Americans long suppressed to gain equality with other Americans.
